ThinkFun Inc., the leading manufacturer of mind-challenging games, welcomes Liz Deakin as she joins the team as Director, Marketing and Sales. Ms. Deakin is a dynamic marketing professional with 12 award-winning years in defining and building brands. She will oversee all domestic sales and marketing functions for ThinkFun and will focus on efforts aimed at continuing to enhance ThinkFun brand awareness at the consumer level as well as increase the company’s presence in the Web and education channels.
Ms. Deakin has worked in high level marketing positions for companies such as Mirixa Corp., a leading provider of health information technologies and consumer health services for pharmacy, The Walt Disney Company, Feld Entertainment and others.
Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Deakin has demonstrated a proven track record of global marketing successes that led to significant increases in sales, high return on investment, and company acquisition. She also provided product development teams with market research assessing customer motivation characteristics. She is well experienced with various marketing communication channels including online and offline advertising, direct response, point of purchase, and public relations.
Ms. Deakin began her professional career as a secondary English teacher, which provides ThinkFun with an insider’s knowledge of the educational market.
Ms. Deakin earned her B.A. in English with a minor in Secondary Education at Roanoke College in Salem, VA. Although she hails from Newton, NJ, and has lived on both east and west coasts, she now happily resides in Northern Virginia.
