ThinkFun, Inc. puts a new “SPIN” on the classic memory game

ThinkFun Inc., the leading creator of mind-challenging games, today announces the launch of its newest game – S’Match!, a new take on the classic memory game. S’Match! challenges players 4 and up to find matching pairs by color, number or category. Only with S’Match, the S’Match Spinner decides which way to match. On one turn, a player may have to match by color. On another turn, it might be by category, such as farm animals. Every player gets a spin, and you never know how you are going to have to match next. Pictures, words and numbers allow pre-readers and early readers to play together and enjoy hours of memory-building fun.

S’Match! continues ThinkFun’s near 25 year tradition of producing educational and highly entertaining games for all ages. Like ThinkFun’s award-winning games such as Rush Hour, Zingo!, and What’s GNU?, S’Match! provides an engaging and fun experience while encouraging the development of problem solving and critical thinking skills including memorization, matching and categorization. “Matching an attribute rather than a specific image is a big idea for a small person. These skills are critically important and will support young thinkers’ cognitive development throughout their lives,” states Tanya Thompson, ThinkFun’s Director of Education Programs.

The included Parent Guide instructs parents not only how to play the game but also how to use the lessons learned from S’Match! in everyday situations. The guide teaches parents how to help young players broaden their thinking about the world around them.

S’Match! is available at Barnes & Noble, Toys R Us, K-Mart, Borders and most independent toy stores for the approximate retail price of $19.99. S’Match! can also be purchased at www.ThinkFun.com.
